In the era of mass production and automated manufacturing, it becomes very apparent that small regional cookers have been bought out or extinguished by the larger national brands. Of the many, many hundred Chippers of yesteryear, there are only 200 or so left. Anchor’s has sought out these independent companies and nurtured relationships with those remaining, in the hopes of supporting their ventures amidst the “Big Guys.”

Many of theses Chippers are so regional, in fact, that no one outside a 90 mile radius has ever seen, heard of, nor tasted their fabulous chips. Anchor’sFoodFinds has the distinct honor of bringing these hard-to-find gourmet potato chips right to your door. We offer our customers the chance to experience truly unique recipes, some dating back 75 years or more, when Mom and Pop hand sliced and stirred the potatoes in a kettle in the back barn.

Our philosophy is dictated not by how well known the Chipper is, but by how obscure they may be. To us, bigger is most certainly not better. We will continue to roam this country with the goal of providing our customers with the best of the best chips available. Anchor's Story

Hi folks, my name is Anchor O'Reilly. I'm a born and raised Midwest boy. I have 7 siblings of which I am the oldest. (Maybe that's why I love kids, but don't want any!) I joined the Merchant Marines when I was 17, traveled points from Finland to Fiji, and that really put the bug of travel in me. The other thing you need to know about me? I am all about potato chips, any flavor, any kind. I figured the two went hand in hand, and decided to become a truck driver. So now I drive my truck across the country looking for the best potato chip cookers around. The hometown guys, not the commercial big boys (you know who I mean.) My goal is to introduce you to all the best chips this great country has to offer. We send out 6 new chip flavors each month, right to your door.(The coolest thing?? FREE SHIPPING!!) You will never get the same chips twice in a year!
